Frequently Asked Questions.
What are the estimated costs for a landscape renovation?
The expenses fluctuate based on factors such as the type of terrain, the complexity of the design, and the incorporation of distinctive landscape elements. A landscaping project with an intricate design will generally come with a higher price tag compared to one featuring simpler characteristics. Typically, the cost for a complete yard renovation can range from $10.00 to $15.00 per square foot.
How long will it take to finish?
Landscaping projects can span anywhere from a single day, which is suitable for minor tasks like valve or sprinkler repairs, to as long as six weeks for comprehensive renovations.
What type of plants do you use?
We primarily employ plant species that are indigenous to the southwestern United States, particularly Southern California. Our landscaping style can be characterized as a blend of Mediterranean and woodland aesthetics, with a strong focus on rich soils and harmoniously vibrant plant selections. Examples of the plants we incorporate into our designs include white sage, purple sage, Cleveland sage, smart aster, manzanitas, coyote brush, ceanothus, Texas primrose, deergrass, chocolate daisy, sugar bush, lemonade berry, western columbine, alum root, and many more.
What are the watering requirements?
The watering needs of the drought-tolerant plants we incorporate into our designs evolve as they mature. In the beginning, especially if they are planted during the summer months, it's probable that they will require watering every other day, or even daily during heatwaves. However, as these plants acclimate and establish themselves, their watering demands can decrease to as little as three times per week or even less. It's crucial to emphasize that most plants tend to thrive and appear more appealing when they grow in soils that retain a healthy level of moisture.
Can you recycle certain materials into the landscape design?
Depending on the materials already present in the existing landscape, we have the opportunity to recycle certain elements. Reusing items like bricks, existing rocks, and plants not only helps clients save on costs but also enables us to craft a more harmonious design by seamlessly blending old and new features.
Will you be able to incorporate existing structures or features into the new landscape?
When there are pre-existing features or structures intended to be incorporated into the new landscaping, it's feasible to include them in the design by either utilizing their original materials (if available) or by establishing a cohesive color scheme. This approach facilitates the seamless integration of both old and new elements.
